Thomas Fields is a man of many wonders and extraordinary talents with strong involvement in the Long Beach community. He is the first person to service on the four Long Beach charter commissions, co-founded the community organization that successfully recruited Trader Joe’s to Bixby Knolls and jump start the business corridor revitalization, founding board member for the Ronald McDonald House, Long Beach and co-produced the tenth annual Long Beach Blues Festival for KLON radio station for its most successful fundraiser ever.
Additionally, he was a reporter for Washington Free Press, Writer and Producer for top ten Madison Avenue Ad Agency, wrote the pilot for the first PBS sit-com “Righteous Apple” and was the Executive Vice President for the concert venue Vault 350, which featured entertainers such as BB King, Kanye West, Tower of Power, Isley Brothers and many more!

Expanded Biography
■ Held a Litmus security clearance at the National Security Agency and worked on creating the Fail-Safe code for the Strategic Air Command bombers.
■Reporter for the Washington Free Press and covered the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
■Writer/Producer for top ten Madison Avenue Ad Agency. Wrote television, radio and print ads for clients such as P & G, Toyota, Hanes Hosiery, BP, Wheaties and Hardee’s.
■Wrote pilot (with Topper Carew) for the first PBS sit-com, Righteous Apples.
■First person to serve on the four Long Beach charter commissions: Economic Development, Planning, Redevelopment and Harbor.
■Co-founded the community organization that successfully recruited Trader Joe’s to Bixby Knolls and helped jump start the business corridor revitalization.
■Founding board member for the Ronald McDonald House Long Beach.
■Co-produced the tenth annual Long Beach Blues Festival for radio station KLON, its most successful fundraiser, ever.
