Introducing Dr. Vickie McCloyn is a teacher with 27 years of experience at Hughes Middle School. At Hughes, she has been an AVID Teacher and Coordinator, SOAR Director, SCC Secretary, SBDM Member, CAAP Coordinator, ELL Department Head, Homework House Co-Creator and most of all, the Creative Director of Young, Gifted and Talented Black History Performance Arts Program. Dr. McCloyn is a visionary looking to guide middle school students to excel in school and enter specialized academic high school programs with an emphasis on applying to college and/or university. She guides, inspires and motivates students to be leaders on and off the campus.
Additionally, we have Dr. Alex J. Norman. Dr. Norman is Professor Emeritus of Social Welfare at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. An international scholar and consultant in Community Economic Development and Community Oriented Policing.
